Students begin with a device, an internet connection, their hands and voice. Apollo provides visual materials and no-equipment alternatives.
A friendly 20-minute mini lesson creates a first musical win and gives Apollo the evidence for one active program recommendation.
Families receive that week’s recap materials. Group tuition does not include individual makeup lessons for a missed class.
A seat is confirmed only after Apollo confirms fit and current availability, then verifies the first tuition payment or full tuition. A form or trial payment alone does not hold the cohort seat.
Apollo Music Foundations™ is separate from Little Apollos™ Music & Play. It prepares beginner students in age-appropriate cohorts for the next confident step: continuing Foundations, entering Piano Pathway, trying Production Lab, joining Theory Lab resources as they grow, or choosing a Signature Song Session when ready.
The full beginner pathway for rhythm, counting, listening, musical-symbol awareness, ear training, creativity, ensemble participation, and performance confidence—without requiring an instrument.
Weeks 1–8 introduce quarter notes and rests, half and whole notes, paired eighth notes, counting in 4/4, treble-staff notes C–G, and musical expression. Students use hands and voice to perform patterns and create a four-bar score. Each lesson plans a brief individual feedback turn; the final lesson checks taught skills and supports a next-step recommendation.
When a student can follow rhythm, listening cues, short patterns, and practice goals, Apollo can place them into a level-appropriate 12-week song path.
Parents should notice stronger timing, attention, and the ability to move or clap with control.
Students connect symbols, sounds, rests, and repeated patterns so music begins to make sense.
Teacher direction, visual patterns, musical symbols, and listening clues prepare students for Piano Pathway, Song Sessions, or another fitting Apollo path.
Games, call-and-response, simple songs, and progress moments help students feel proud of improvement.
Music Foundations helps brand-new students build rhythm, listening, musical-symbol awareness, coordination, and practice habits that can support a future Apollo Signature Song Session™.
Some students begin directly with a Song Session, while others start with Foundations first. Apollo helps place each child on the right path.
Ashton Baranda teaches Apollo Music Foundations. The learning targets are specific: read and count a short rhythm, recognize taught notes, listen and respond, and explain a musical choice. Progress is checked through the student's own attempts.
Students make sense of the musical alphabet, rhythm values, counting, note direction, staff basics, symbols, and visual or listening landmarks.
Students use movement, steady beat, clapping, echoing, coordination, and short repeatable patterns to finish tasks with control.
Students explore loud/soft, fast/slow, high/low, mood, imagination, and sharing a first musical idea.
