Rights Explained Simply

Pay for the rights your project actually needs.

Every project has two parts: the creative production fee and the rights package.

The creative production fee covers composing, arranging, producing, mixing, and preparing the music. The rights package determines how the music can be used, whether it is exclusive, and whether the client owns the master, the composition, or both.

01

Project License

Best for most clients using music in one named project.

02

Exclusive License

Best when the client does not want the track licensed elsewhere.

03

Master Ownership

Best when the client wants to own the final recording.

04

Complete Buyout

Best when the client wants full ownership and control.

Rights language and deliverables are confirmed in writing before production begins. This page is a plain-language overview, not a substitute for the final project agreement.

FAQ

Before the first note.

How long does a custom music project take?

Timing depends on track count, length, production complexity, revision needs, rights, and deadline. Apollo confirms a project schedule in the written quote before work begins.

Are revisions included?

The quote states the included revision rounds and milestone approvals. Additional revision rounds can be added when the project needs them.

Do I automatically own the music?

No. Every project separates the creative production fee from the rights package. Choose a project license, exclusive license, master ownership, or complete buyout based on scope.

Can Apollo copy a specific artist, game, or franchise?

Apollo creates original music. References can help communicate energy, instrumentation, pacing, and production direction, but the final work will not copy protected melodies, recordings, characters, or distinctive branded material.

What files can Apollo deliver?

Final scope may include mastered WAV and MP3 files, instrumental or alternate edits, stems, track-outs, loopable game versions, and short trailer cuts when included in the quote.

How is Soundworks different from Music Production Lab?

Apollo Soundworks is a client service that delivers professional original music. Music Production Lab is a student learning program focused on production skills and guided projects.
