Composition proposal: 50% to Ashton for the original music and 50% to the artist for new lyrics or melody, totaling 100% when these are the only two contributions. Instrumental-only uses and additional writers require a specific allocation. The split must be agreed in a signed split schedule before licensing.
The composition share is separate from the 5% master royalty. It defines shares of the composition totaling 100%, rather than an extra publishing-receipts percentage.
A proposed nonexclusive license for worldwide, ongoing permitted artist releases. Other artists may also license the instrumental.
01
Artist releases
One named artist may create one new song using Promise Me and its listed versions. The worldwide license lasts for the life of the applicable licensed rights, subject to the agreed terms, valid termination and mandatory law.
No numerical stream or sales cap
No annual artist renewal
Release, sell, stream, monetize and perform the licensed song; use it in your own organic artist videos and release promotion
Buyer owns their original contributions and resulting new master to the extent contributor rights are secured, subject to retained original instrumental rights, this license, third-party rights and the 5% gross master royalty
02
Master royalty
The royalty is 5% of defined gross master receipts, before distribution commissions, artist/label splits, recording costs or marketing costs.
Only genuine refunds and remitted transaction taxes are excluded. Quarterly statements and any remaining payment are due within 45 days after each quarter ends. Automatic distributor payments credit the same obligation; they do not change the gross base. Read the prepared terms for the full gross definition and accounting rules.
03
Composition split
The proposed two-contributor allocation is 50% Ashton / 50% artist, totaling 100% of the composition: Ashton’s original music and the artist’s new lyrics or melody.
This requires agreement in the signed split schedule. Instrumental-only uses and additional writers need a specific allocation; 50/50 is not automatic.
A different use needs a different agreement.
Advertising, third-party film/TV/game sync, additional songs, music-library sublicensing, and exclusive or buyout deals require prior written permission and a separate quote where applicable. Source samples and the instrumental itself may not be resold as reusable material.

Artist license terms
Read the terms before requesting.
Version 2026-10-13 of the artist license terms is linked below. Each buyer-specific order and composition/delivery schedules require the applicable signatures. The license begins only after both parties sign, payment clears and Apollo can lawfully supply the agreed rights and files. A website visit or inquiry does not adopt these terms or grant a license.
